Choose from one level of pet insurance

Natwest’s pet insurance policy includes generous cover, renewable benefits and complimentary treatment. There is a useful guide to the types of benefits available below.

The claim limit for each insurance option is subject to excesses, which are the amounts you have to pay for each claim.

  • For pets ages seven or older, you must pay the excess shown on your policy plus 20% of every claim for each separate condition
  • For holiday cancellation, there is £100 excess to pay upfront before a payout
  • For third party liability, dog owners must pay £250 upfront before receiving a payout.

Your benefits for pet insurance cover levels

Advertising or Reward
If your pet goes missing or is stolen, NatWest will cover up to £1,55 towards local advertising costs and an additional £500 for reward.
Death Due to Accident or Illness

NatWest will cover the purchase price of your pet, should they die as a result of an accident or illness, up to £1,500.

Boarding Kennel Fees
If you require a stay in hospital for more than 4 consecutive days, NatWest will cover boarding and kennel fees up to £1,000, depending on your level of cover.

Liability Cover

If your dog causes an accident, damages property or severely injures someone, NatWest will provide up to £2 million towards legal costs.

Holiday Cancellation

If you need to cancel your holiday due to your pet falling ill or needing life saving surgery, NatWest will provide up to £5,000 for expenses that you cannot get back from anywhere else.

Overseas Travel Cover

NatWest provide overseas travel for journeys to countries included in the governments Pet Travel Scheme. In addition to cover extension, NatWest also provides cover for quarantine costs up to £2,000, loss of pet passport up to £250 and emergency expenses abroad up to £500 per journey.

About NatWest Pet Insurance

NatWest provides pet insurance cover for cats and dogs across the UK. They currently provide cover for veterinary fees up to £8,000 per year towards veterinary fees to treat illness or injury, with no restriction to the number of claims you can make. This also includes:

  • Up to £1,000 for complementary treatment
  • Up to £250 for behavioural disorders
  • Up to £250 for clinical diet
  • Up to £250 for transportation costs for referral to a vet
  • Up to £500 for dental treatment

NatWest also provides optional extras including holiday cancellation cover up to £5,000 if your pet requires life-saving surgery while you’re away or up to 7 days before you go.
