Choose from one level of pet insurance

Agria Pet Insurance currently offers one level of pet insurance to ensure your pet is covered for its Lifetime. Their Lifetime policy includes competitive veterinary fee cover and reliable benefits. There is a useful guide to the types of benefits available below.

Agria has compulsory, fixed and percentage. Pet owners can choose to pay a fixed excess of £90 – £160, with an additional 10% percentage excess per condition, per policy year. The policy booklet has the full terms and conditions. For more information visit the Agria official website.

Your benefits for pet insurance cover levels

Public Liability

If your dog causes an accident or injures another dog, Agria Pet Insurance will cover the cost of the claim from £2,000,000 to £3,000,000.

Transport Costs

Agria will cover the cost of travel expenses and accommodation if your vet refers your dog to another vet for treatment up to £300 each year.

Theft Or Straying

If your pet strays or is stolen, Agria will pay the purchase price of your pet up to £1,500 – £2,500

Advertising and Reward

Agria provide help towards finding your lost or stolen dog by covering the cost for advertising and offer a reward up to £1,000 – £1,500

Holiday Cancellation

If your holiday is cancelled due to your pet needing life-saving surging following an accident or illness within 14 days of your holiday, Agria will cover the cost, up to £1,000 – £3,000 .

Boarding Kennel/Cattery

If your pet needs to stay in boarding or daily minding while you spend more than 4 consecutive days in hospital, Agria will cover boarding fees between £1,000 to £3,500.

Death Of Pet

If your pet dies as a result of an accident or illness, Agria will cover the amount you initially paid for your pet, up to £1,500 – £2,500

Overseas Travel Cover

Agria will provide cover for emergency vet treatment abroad. This includes emergency expenses (up to £500 each year), money towards a replacement pet passport (up to £250 each year) and quarantine kennelling costs (up to £2,000 each year).

Breeding Risks

Agria provides cover for breeding risks up to £1,000 each year. This includes fertility examination, vet fees for complications from gestation and while giving birth and vet fees for puppies until they are 14 weeks old.

What animals can I insure with Agria?

Agria currently provide insurance for dogs, cats and rabbits. Agria does have exclusions that may apply based on your pet’s breed, lifestyle and behaviour so make sure to check for general exclusions.

What types of policies do Agria offer?

Agria provide Lifetime Insurance cover as standard for all of the animals they cover. This is to ensure ongoing conditions are covered for life without you having to foot a very expensive vet bill. Cat’s and dog’s are covered to up to £12,500 vet fees, whereas rabbits are covered up to £2,500.

Does Agria cover pre-existing conditions?

Agria covers all animals, regardless of whether they have previously suffered an accident or illness. However, if an illness, injury or condition was diagnosed before the policy was taken out, it will be regarded as a pre-existing condition and will be excluded from Agria’s coverage.

How long does it take to assess a claim?

While there is no time limit with Agria, they advise you to send in your claims as soon as possible. To speed up the process, make sure to fully complete the claim form with accurate information with all of the relevant receipts, invoices and other supporting documents.
