About Legal & General
Legal and General was founded in 1836 and has since grown to become the UK’s largest provider of individual life assurance products and a market leader in managing retirement risks for pension schemes in both the UK and US.
About Legal & General Pet Insurance
Legal and General provide pet insurance to both cats and dogs across the UK. They currently offer three types of pet insurance policy, Lifetime, 12 Month and Accident Only.
Lifetime is Legal & General’s most comprehensive policy. It provides cover for new conditions or accidents that occur over the course of your pet’s whole lifetime as long as the policy is renewed.
12 Month policy provides cover for the twelve months after a condition occurs as long as the policy remains in force. Your pet has 12 months cover from the onset of each new condition and once the financial limit has been reached or 12 months has passed; whichever comes first. Any ongoing treatment as a result of this condition will not be covered and will be excluded from future claims as a pre-existing condition.
Accident Only policy covers your pet’s treatment in case of an accident up to the cover limit
