Your benefits for pet insurance cover levels

Complementary Treatment & Special Diet

Vetsure will cover complementary medicine for your cat or dog up to £1,000 across all levels of cover. They will also cover the costs of special diets prescribed by your vet up to £100

Death From Illness and Injury

If your pet dies as a result from illness or injury, Vetsure will cover the original costs of your pet up to £1,000 across all levels of cover

Transportation Costs

Vetsure will cover any transportation costs if you needed to switch vets or seek a specialist, up to £200 across all levels of cover.

Loss By Theft/Straying & Advertising

If your pet strays or is stolen, Vetsure will cover the original cost of your pet as well as the advertising and reward costs up to £1,000.

Third Party Liability

If your dog responsible for causing an accident or injury, Vetsure will cover Third Party Liability claims up to £2,000,000 across all levels of cover.

Boarding Fees

If your pet requires emergency stay in kennels or cattery’s while you are in hospital, Vetsure will cover the fees up to £750 per policy period.

Holiday Cancellation

Vetsure offers cover for holiday cancellation, in the event your cat or dog needs urgent surgery and you need to cancel your holiday, up to £1,500

Overseas Travel

Vetsure’s vet fee cover extends worldwide, with an additional £2,000 per policy period as well as cover for quarantine or loss of documents costs from £250 – £1,500.

Accidental Damage

If your pet damages someone’s property, Vetsure will provide cover for Accidental Damage up to £500.

Personal Accident

If your pet causes you to have an accident, Vetsure will cover the cost of you being out work for up to £200 per policy period.

What animals can I insure with Vetsure Insurance?

Vetsure Pet Insurance provides cover for both cats and dogs from 8 weeks to 10 years. After this point, Vetsure will continue to insure your pet for the rest of their life.

What types of policy do Vetsure offer?

Vetsure provides three policies, one Accident Only, which only covers accidents up to £2,000, and two Lifetime policies, to cover accidents and illness from £2,000 – £5,000. They only charge your excess once per unrelated condition and allow you to tailor your insurance policy to best suit your needs.

Does Vetsure cover pre-existing conditions?

Vetsure will cover any illnesses or injuries sustained in the duration of your policy. However, any conditions, illnesses or injuries that arise before your the policy was taken out will be classed as a pre-existing condition and will not be covered.

How long will it take to assess a claim?

Vetsure try to assess all claims as quickly as possible. You will need to complete a claim form as soon as possible in order for Vetsure to pay the vet directly.

Vetsure a variety of cover options with the flexibility to tailor your cover to suit your needs and budget. First, you choose between three levels of core cover Premier Plus, Premier and Accident only. Next you can choose to add up to three types of Optional Cover, including Preventative Care Vouchers, Public Liability (dogs only) and Additional Benefits Cover. Finally you can choose the level of excess to suit your budget.The higher the excess level you choose, the lower your premium will be.

How To Make A Claim

If you wish to make a claim with Vetsure Pet Insurance, you should ensure to follow the steps below:

  • Download the claim form from https://www.vetsure.com/contact-us/make-a-claim/ or call the Claims Team on 0800 050 2022
  • The named policyholder must complete and sign the appropriate sections of the claims form as indicated
  • Your vet must complete and sign Section 2 of the claim form
  • Ensure all sections are filled in. Any omissions will delay the claim decision
  • The form should then be returned with a case history and any original invoices related to your pets treatment. You can choose to send them via email to claims@vetsure.com or by post.
