Your benefits for travel insurance cover levels

Medical Expenses

If you require emergency medical treatment whilst on holiday, Age UK will cover the cost of your treatment up to £10,000,000 as standard.

Cancellation or Curtailment

If your trip has to be cancelled or cut short due to reasons stated within your insurance policy, Age UK will cover the cost up to £5,000 as standard.

Personal Belongings

If your personal belongings are lost, stolen or damaged while travelling abroad, Age UK will cover the cost up to £2,500. This further extends to £250 for temporary loss of belongings, £1,000 for money and documents and £250 for passports.

End Supplier Failure

If your airline or hotel company goes bust, Age UK will cover the cost of your holiday, flights or alternative accommodation up to £1,500.

Age UK currently offer two travel insurance policies, Single Trip and Annual Multi Trip.

What countries are not covered by Age UK?


Age UK will not cover countries that the Foreign Commonwealth Office (FCO) has advised against all travel to. This also includes areas with “advised against all but essential travel to”. To check your destination’s FCO advice visit
