The table below shows a summary of Churchill’s travel insurance options. They currently have one level of cover for all three of their travel insurance policies, which offers generous cover and a variety of benefits. There is a useful guide to the type of benefits featured, below.

There is also a payable excess, which is fixed until the end of the policy. This excess is currently £50 and is payable per person, per claim unless stated otherwise.

Your benefits for travel insurance cover levels

Medical Expenses

If you require emergency medical attention abroad due to an accident or sudden illness, Churchill will cover the cost of your medical bills up to £10,000,000 as standard. This extends to emergency dental treatment up to £500 and hospital benefit up to £1,000 if required.

Personal Belongings

If your personal belonging are lost, stolen or damaged whilst travelling abroad, Churchill will cover the cost of replacing your items up to £2,000. Churchill will also cover replacement items if your luggage is delayed up to £200.

Legal & Liability
If you’re found to be legally liable for damage, accident or death during your holiday, Churchill will cover the cost of legal expenses up to £2,000,000 as standard.

Delayed & Missed Departure

If your plane is delayed due to scheduled airline strikes or failures, Churchill will cover the cost of your delayed departure up to £1,000. If you miss your departing flight, Churchill will also provide a financial benefit of £200 for alternative flights.

What Type of Policies Does Churchill Offer?

What countries are not covered by Churchill Travel Insurance?

Churchill will not provide cover for countries or areas which the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) has advised against all travel to. This also includes areas with ‘advised against all but essential travel’. To check your destination’s FCO advice, visit https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/

Does Churchill Travel Insurance Cover Pre-Existing Conditions?

Churchill Travel insurance will cover pre-existing medical conditions provided you have declared them and had them accepted in writing.
