Free Spirit currently offers two levels of travel insurance cover, including, Single Trip and Annual Multi Trip. Each policy contains free cover for 100’s of activities and provide cover for thousands of conditions with instant cover.

Medical Conditions & Disability Cover

Free Spirit aims to stand out from other travel insurance companies by offering cover for medical and disability conditions to people of all ages. Free Spirit currently covers hundreds of medical conditions, including heart attack, breast cancer, asthma and terminal illnesses.

Over 100 Activities Covered

Free Spirit offers cover to over 100 activities. You are covered for any sport or activity listed when participating on an amateur basis. This ranges from Aerobics to Yoga, to Archery and Sydney Harbour Bridge climbing.

Emergency Medical & Associated Expenses

If you suffer a medical emergency whilst holidaying abroad, Free Spirit will provide cover up to £10 million, depending on your level of cover.


Free Spirit also provides aftercare at home, following hospitalisation. This includes home help, cosmetic surgery, dental care and physiotherapy up to a set amount detailed in your policy documents.

Personal Accident

If you suffer an accident abroad and suffer life changing injuries, Free Spirit can provide up to £20,000 if you’re unable to work afterwards.

What type of policies do Free Spirit offer?

Free Spirit offers two levels of cover, including single trip and multi-trip with additional add ons such as Cruise and Snow Sports cover.

What countries are not covered by Free Spirit?

Free Spirit will not provide cover for countries or areas which the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) has advised against all travel to, including countries that have been ‘advised against all but essential travel to’. To check your destination’s FCO advice, visit

Does Free Spirit cover pre-existing conditions?

Yes. Free Spirit is a medical specialist travel insurer. This means they are able to provide cover for a wide range of medical conditions and disabilities with no upper age limit.

How long does it take to assess a claim?

The amount of time it takes to process a claim depends entirely on the season (summer is usually much busier), and the information provided. On average, Free Spirit aim to respond within 5 working days of receipt of correspondence.
