Your benefits for travel insurance cover levels

Medical Expenses

If you become ill on holiday or suffer an accident, HSBC Travel Insurance will cover the cost of your medical treatment up to £10 million, as standard.

Cancellation Cover

If you have to cancel or cut your holiday short due to unforeseeable circumstances, HSBC travel insurance will cover the non-recoverable travel and accommodations costs up to £5,000 as standard.

Major Incidents Cover

If you need to cancel or abandon your trip due to major incidents, such as terrorist attacks, HSBC Travel Insurance will cover the cost of your trip.

What Type of Policies Do HSBC Travel Insurance Offer?

HSBC currently offer the choice of two travel insurance policies, Single Trip and Annual Trip. Each policies covers destinations to the UK, Europe and Worldwide.

What countries are not covered by HSBC Travel Insurance?

HSBC will not provide cover for countries or areas which the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) has advised against all travel to. This also includes areas with ‘advised against all but essential travel’. To check your destination’s FCO advice, visit https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/

Does HSBC Travel Insurance Cover Pre-Existing Conditions?

HSBC are unable to provide a quote for those with medical conditions online. However, if you call their contact centre on 0800 051 6603, they may still be able to offer you an insurance quote.

How Long Does It Take to Assess A Claim?
