Thomas Cook offers three levels of travel insurance, Essential, Select and Prime. Each level of cover comes with a variety of benefits and optional add ons to ensure your policy is fully comprehensive for your trip. There is a useful guide to types of benefits featured below.
Thomas Cook policies also come with payable excess, which is fixed until the end of the policy. This excess ranges from £0-150 depending on your level of cover and is payable per claim.

Your benefits for travel insurance cover levels
If you require medical attention whilst travelling abroad, Thomas Cook will cover the cost of your medical bills up to £20,000,000, depending on your level of cover. This further extends to a hospital benefit payout up to £2,000, depending on your level of cover.
If you’re legally liable for accidentally injuring someone or damaging or losing their property, Thomas Cook will pay up to £5,000,000, depending on your level of cover.
If your hotel or travel company go bankrupt before or during the course of your holiday, Thomas Cook will cover your lost money or holiday up to £5,000 on it’s Prime policy.
If your money is lost or stolen while travelling abroad, Thomas Cook will cover your lost money up to £1,000, depending on your level of cover.

What countries are not covered by Thomas Cook?
Thomas Cook will not provide cover for countries or areas which the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) has advised against all travel to. Does Thomas Cook Cover Pre-Existing Conditions?

How Long Does It Take To Assess A Claim?
Thomas Cook do not provide a time limit for assessing claims. However, they have specified that claims must be registered with the Claims Department within 31 days of occurrence. If not, they may be unable to pay your claim.
