Compare PDSA pet insurance policies

PDSA offers two different types of pet insurance policies; Time Limited and Lifetime. They have 6 Lifetime policies to choose from and 2 Time Limited options, so there's a policy to suit every pet owner's needs and budget.

Lifetime policies

PDSA's Lifetime policies cover your pet up to a specified limit each year. Once you've reached the limit for the year, your pet will no longer be covered until the limit refreshes when you renew the policy. Your pet will be covered for life for any lifelong or long term conditions, provided you pay your premiums on time and renew your policy each year.

Time Limited policies

If you opt for a Time Limited policy, your pet will only be covered up to the specified limit you choose, or up to a maximum of 12 months from the date your pet first showed symptoms (whichever comes first). Once the 12 month period is up, or the vet fee limit has been reached, your pet will no longer be covered for that condition and any related illnesses will be excluded from your policy.

Making a PDSA pet insurance claim

If you want to claim on your PDSA policy, you can download a claim form on their website. Once you have completed the form and signed it, you need to pass the form onto your vet so they can fill in their relevant sections and sign it. Your vet will also need to attach any invoices and your pet's full medical history. You or your vet then need to post the form to:

PDSA Pet Insurance
The Connect Centre
Kingston Crescent

Once PDSA has received your claim form, they will assess it and if it's successful, they'll send you or your vet a cheque within 10 working days.
