Your pet needs to be at least 8 weeks old to get a pet insurance policy from Ageas. There is no upper age limit, so you can continue to get cover as your pet gets older, provided your pet has been continuously covered by Ageas.

Ageas does not currently provide cover for pets with pre-existing conditions.

Yes, you can still take out a pet insurance policy if your pet is not vaccinated.

Cover starts for accidents 48 hours after your policy start date. However, you can't claim for illnesses within the first 14 days of your cover.

When you make a claim, you can choose whether you want the payment to be made to you or the vet. If you pay your policy by Direct Debit from your account, you have the option of being paid by BACS (Bankers Automated Clearing Services) direct into your bank account. Your vet can also be paid by BACS if they wish. An excess will be deducted for all claims, as stated in your policy documents.
