About Bikmo

The team at Bikmo are passionate about cycling. Avid bikers themselves, they understand their customers’ needs on a personal level. Bikmo is now five years into their mission to allow anyone, anywhere to protect their lifestyle so they can spend more time actually enjoying it. Not only are the team passionate about cycling, but they’re also equally passionate about protecting our planet’s needs. In September 2019, they were certified as a BCorp. Certified B Corporations are legally required to consider the impact of their decisions on their workers, customers, suppliers, community and environment.

Bikmo chose to become BCorp certified because the heart of their business is to get customers riding more to provide the well-known benefits that cycling offers, including better health and a cleaner environment.

Goal 1 is to be carbon neutral by 31st December 2020.

Goal 2 is to put £10m per year back into local retailers by 2023.

  • Accidental Damage Cover

All Bikmo bicycle insurance policies cover you for damage you inflict while riding your bike.

  • £2m Public Liability Cover

If an accident occurs while you’re riding and you’re at fault, Bikmo covers you up to the value of £2 million plus defence costs.

  • Theft Cover

Cover if your bike gets stolen, provided you comply with Bikmo’s locking requirements.

  • 24/7 Cloud Account

If you need to make changes to your bike values, or access claims and benefits, you can do this anytime, anywhere with the Bikmo Cloud Account.

  • £20k Personal Accident Cover

Bikmo’s personal accident cover will pay out £20,000 for life-changing injuries and up to £1,500 for optical and dental injuries sustained whilst riding your bike.

  • Clothing & Headgear Cover

Bikmo understands that your cycling clothing can have the same value as your bike, that’s why they cover clothing and headgear as standard.

  • New for Old Cover

Bikmo doesn’t depreciate bikes of any age, so you’re covered for the value you’re insured for.

  • Accessories Cover

Bikmo includes accessories cover as standard, so your Garmin, lights and power meter are all included. Limits apply.

  • 365 Worldwide Cover

Bikmo will cover your bike and your kit anywhere in the world whether you’re riding, racing or in transit.

  • 0% Monthly Payments

You won’t be charged extra to pay monthly rather than annually.

  • Bike Box Cover

Bikmo provides a minimum of £500 bike box cover with all policies.

  • Vandalism Cover

If anyone damages your beloved bike, Bikmo will cover this too.

  • 24/7 ‘Cycle Hangar’ Parking

If you want to free up space in your garage or shed and choose to use on-street parking instead, Bikmo will cover your bike 24/7 provided the parking meets their policy requirements. 

  • £100k Legal Expenses

You get up to £100,000 legal expenses cover with your Bikmo insurance policy. This is a free companion cover, underwritten by ARAG.

  • Excess Free

Bikmo offers excess free claims through their local retail network. If your claim is settled as cash, there’s an excess of £40 or 10% of the claim value, whichever is greater.

  • Family & Friends

If you let a family member or friend ride your bicycle, they’ll be covered too.

  • Emergency Hire

Bikmo will provide you with a temporary hire bike if yours is in the process of being repaired or replaced.

How many bikes can I cover under one Bikmo bicycle insurance policy?

You can insure as many bicycles as you like under one Bikmo insurance policy, however the total worth of all bikes cannot exceed £30,000.

Are my clothes, shoes and helmet all covered under one Bikmo policy?

Yes. All Bikmo bicycle policies include cover for cycle-specific clothing and accessories as standard. The value of the cover is defendant on the policy you have.

Do I need to list any family and friends that might use my bike?

No. Your family and friends are automatically covered under your policy.
